Project X Pan - 2 down

Hi Pretties

Exciting times!  My second product of project X pan is done and dusted.  Hurray.

This one is the Nutrimetics Clear Deep Cleansing Exfoliant.  For those playing at home 'facial scrub'.  This product makes me cranky every time I look at it.

Basically I went to Nutrimetics Spa evening around 18 months ago and the lady recommended the Clear range to me which is for oily to combo skin.  Feeling rich I bought this and it cost me $70 for the cleanser, toner, scrub and moisturiser.  Not too bad of a price but more than I spend normally on skin care in one go.

Anyways the products all broke me out so bad and left my skin so red raw and dry I couldn't use them.  I contacted the head office as they had a nice return policy and in the mean time relocated from QLD when I bought the stuff to NSW and they advised me I needed to contact the consultant to get a refund through them as they needed her special code or whatever.  I couldn't get in contact with this girl for months and low and behold the 60 day return policy period passed and I couldn't get in contact with the consultant and head office were very unhelpful.  I chucked the cleanser, toner and moisturiser as not even my partner could use them on his skin which is tougher than mine but kept the scrub as it was not too bad used in moderation.

Needless to say I won't be in a hurry to purchase from Nutrimetics again!

This product itself is a decent scrub.  The smell is pretty harmless and the scruby-beads are quite small in a clear fluid.  I am glad it's gone though.

May Favourites

It's May Favourites time!

This month I have all but one new product and an oldie but a goodie.

Nivea Essentials lip balm

This is a long time favourite of mine.  Many times repurchased.  It smells like baby powder, is super moisturising and smooth and gives nice shine.  I randomly purchased the Blistex complete moisture lip balms last time as they were on a super special and I'm glad to get back to my old favourite!

Urban Decay Naked Palette

This product needs no introduction.........

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecting BB Cream

This is not a true BB cream.  It's a tinted moisturiser so if you purchase this please don't expect it to be like the Asian or German BB creams.  None the less I really like this product.  I've never liked a tinted moisturiser before this one and while the critics say it is oily and shiny I feel that your technique in applying this makes all the difference.  I apply moisturiser, wait 5 minutes, stipple and blend my BB cream, wait 5 minutes and then powder.  I find these little time breaks very important in applying this cream.  While the colour is a tiny bit too dark for me it still works well.

Benefit Thrrrob blush

This blush is a beautiful cool toned baby pink.  It's what I hoped Mac's Well Dressed would be.  It took me 5 weeks to get my Benefit order from the US but it was well worth the wait.

Coastal Scents 110 Bionic Flat Top Buffer

This brush was on clearance on the Coastal Scents website for $6.98 so I grabbed it when I purchased my 22 piece brush set.  OMG I have no idea why.  This is the best brush I have ever owned/tried/bought.  I use it to stipple and blend out foundation and it gives the most flawless airbrushed finish.  It is soft and dense and everything you want a brush like this to be.  If I can recommend one thing to you it is get this brush before it disappears!

What are your favourites for May?

Road Tested - May Lust Have It

Hello 'ello

I've finally given most of the products from my first Lust Have It a go.  This was my first Lust Have It and I was very very excited about it!  It arrived in this cute pink make up case which is nice, rather than just a box packaging.

Evo The Therapist Shampoo and Conditioner: I had not heard of this brand before but these are a very decent size sample to receive.  I've used them a couple of times but I'm saving the rest to use when I travel.  While I do like these I don't think they are anything special.  I did really like the smell though.

Caron Bump Eraser: I have not actually tried this as it is sealed with a silver top thingy these sorts of things are sealed with.  I do however have three quarters of the Caron Bump Eraser lotion I'm currently using and love, and I have previously tried the Caron Bump Eraser spray and quite liked that as well.  So I'm guessing I will love this just as much.  I think the Caron products I have tried have been great.

Nicole by OPI: This is pretty much a typical glitter polish.  This colour is very cute but a real pain to remove which makes me dislike most glitter polishes.

Lush Soap: This smells AMAZING!  I'm yet to open this yet as I have half a soap in the shower at the moment but based on my experience with Lush products I will love this.

Bioderma Make Up Remover: This is quite a nice product.  The smell is pretty harmless, almost like water if that makes sense?  But it is very gentle and feels alcohol free which I like around my eye area.  It is not oily either which I find some removers to be.  Not a rave product though.

Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty Perfume Sample: A nice smelly perfume.  Not for me though.

ModelCo Lipgloss: What's the go with ModelCo??  Why are they just giving away all their products?  I have never bought a ModelCo product but I'm pretty sure I have about 10 of them!  A nice lipgloss.  It's a nice smell and not overly sticky.  The pigmentation is pretty sheer but nice regardless.

I am very very pleased with my first Lust Have It.  I got some really nice products to try and I love the full sized item.

Thanks Lust Have It!

Updated Make Up Storage - May 2012 VIDEO!

Hi Pretties

So I said last week or the week before I was going to do an updated make up storage post with my new drawers, and I finally managed to get it online!  I filmed this during the week last week and desperately tried to get this uploaded last night in lieu of my Sunday night haul as I'm currently on Project X Pan, but Blogger would not upload it directly so I've had to go via YouTube which took me 8 hours to upload!  Gah!  Anyway it's finally here!

I wanted to do a video as I thought a post would take forever to go through all my drawers so this would be the easiest way to see everything.

I hope you enjoy!

Project X Pan - 1 down!

Hi Pretties

I'm now 1 item down in my Project X Pan!

This is a perfume sample I received in my April Bellabox.  While I don't dislike this sample I'm not going to go out and buy a full size product of this.  I feels it is a little old for me.  Or maybe just not my style.

But anyway, super excited!  Only 9 products to go :)

Empty product review - One&All hand cream

Hi Pretty People

Today I'm reviewing a hand cream I've just finished off.  I've had this for almost a year!  Not surprising though as I only really use hand cream in the winter.

This is the One&All Re-Hydrating Protecting Hand and Nail cream for dry hands.  This is an Innoxa brand.  I got this on sale at a chemist for $3.56 but I think the normal RRP is around $5 for a 75ml tube.

This has a faint apricot smell and is a nice think white cream that soaks into the skin really quickly and doesn't leave you with sticky hands which I hate.  I find this hand cream really quite effective against the harsh winters we have and I will buy this again when I have gone through a hand cream I was given.

This cream is supposed to Assist in strengthening the skin's barrier function, prevent moisture loss and improve damaged hands.  It is also dermatologically tested.

I highly recommend this hand cream.

Project X Pan

Hi Pretties

Yup, it's time.  I need to do a Project X Pan.  I have loads of things I need to use up and I really feel like my collection is 'complete' at the moment, so I decided it's time to get rid of these things that I'm just not really using that I've been hanging on to for a while.  I might also save some money!

PXP

For those who don't know, Project X Pan is a challenge to yourself where you choose 10 items from you beauty collection and put yourself on a spending ban until you have used up all 10 items.  10 items emptied means 1 new item.  It's a great way for those with a large collection or just those with a lot of odds and ends to use up some things that are just hanging around unnecessarily.

I kind of feel like I'm cheating a little with my PXP as some of these items are almost done, but hey, its MY challenge and I'll do it however I like :-)

Empty product review - OP Therapy Body Hydrator

Hi Pretties

Empty product review time!

This time it is the OP Therapy Body Hydrator with Emu Oil that I received in my April Bellabox,  This issay  a full size 75ml sample.  Sorry I'm not sure on the RRP.

The directions say to use anytime throughtout the day to nourish and repair dry, sensitive skin.  When applied topically once or twice a day, this natural moisturizer may help to relieve symptoms of dry and chapped skin, sunburn, cradle cap and nappy rash.  While the tube says this is unscented, I beg to differ, but the smell is pretty harmless and basically just smells like cream.

I've used this on my feet and my eczema and on my legs and I love it.  I think this is a great moisturizer and it did help to calm my eczema too.  I went through it so quickly though!

Empty Product Review - Nivea Cream

Hi lovelies

Finished another product!

This time it is the Nivea Cream in a 75ml tin I bought on sale for around $3.

I originally purchased this to use on my face as I was finding my normal moisturiser not quite heavy enough and I planned to use this at night.  It was much to heavy though and made me break out a little as it was so think.

I also found this to be a little thick to use on my body as it didn't spread very well.  I finally found the perfect use for this.  My feet!  I suffer dry heals most of the year (don't we all?) so I started using this and then putting on some socks for a few hours.  It works wonders to smooth the feet out.  I also think the tin is super cute and really easy to travel with.

Another great Nivea product!

Sunday night haul!

Hi Pretties

Well another week has come to and end and it has been another busy busy week and weekend.

I had a very exciting haul week this week.  I didn't get too much but I got something I have been very excited about.  My Coastal Scents 22 piece brush set!  I ordered this on Tuesday and paid express Fedex and it turned up on Friday.  I was so excited to get the 'delivered' email that I almost wanted to leave work straight away!  The full set plus delivery was $70 and it came with the pleather case and 22 brushes as shown in my new brush holder behind the case.  I also ordered an extra brush that was on clearance.  If you are interested I'll do a full review on the brush set!

I got a couple of things from The Body Shop this week as well.  I got the cute little facial brush which is super soft, and some blotting paper.  They were $4.95 each.  I also got a new Body Shop facial washer but I've already covered it in make up so I didn't want to picture it.

I picked the Garnier BB Cream this week as well.  I've read some good and some negative review on this and I actually quite like it.  I think if you purchase this product expecting a BB Cream you would be sadly disappointed but if you go into this knowing your getting a tinted moisturiser I think you would be pretty happy. I've tried several methods of applying and I've settled on stippling with my new Coastal Scents Bionic Brush.  I love the application it gives.  I finish this cream with a matte powder and it keeps the shinys away.

I received a couple of freebies this week too.  I finally got a Clinique mascara in the mascara swap.  I'd put my name down at my local David Jones ages ago when the swap was on as they had not yet received their sample sized ones yet and they finally rang me on Thursday saying they had one in for me.  'Yea!'  I'm yet to try this.  My other freebie is an eyeliner from Model Co.  I'm getting a little collection of these going!  I have not tried this yet either.

It was also Bellabox time of the month.  You can read about my Bellabox post here.

That's my haul for the week!

What did you pick up this week?

May Bellabox - Open Box

Hi Pretties

Well it's that time of month again.  Bellabox time!  This months theme is Pamper Yourself, Pamper Your Mum.  I don't get it :-/  Not quite sure what I'd be pampering my mum with from this box.

I've already seen a couple of posts about the May Bellabox, some good some pretty terrible.  I like this months Bellabox but don't love it.  I think that LustHaveIt just did such a great box it's a little hard to get so excited about this one when you get it over a week later.

I did like Super Purdy!'s Bellabox a little more than mine and I'm pretty sure if read somewhere that you get different things over and under 25 and this is my first month being 25 so perhaps this is true?  Can anyone confirm?  If so, I may change my birth year on my profile.

I received:

Savior Faire Lipstick - I received Grace, a poop brown colour

Bobbi Brown Mini Mascara - Black.  This looks like a good mascara

EmerginC Hydra Repair Capsules - I got two packs of two.  I've seen that people seemed to have received varying amounts of these as well.  These look fun!

Avene Eau Thermale Avene Ystheal Emulsion Moisturiser and Eluage Eye Contour Cream - The name goes on and on.  Pretty sure it is an eye cream and moisturiser.  That will be ok to try.

Sebastian Professional Range - I got these in the strengthening and repair range.  These will be good to try although rather small compared to the shampoo and conditioner in the LustHaveIt box.  Not that I'm complaining, these are still plenty big enough for two uses.

After all, it is a sample box.  Not a weeks worth box.  Overall I'm pretty happy with the box.  There are some fun things in there to try  (especially the capsules they look fun!) and the mascara will get used up.  Nice job Bellabox.

xoxo Caitlin

Empty Product Review - Covergirl Lash Perfection Mascara

Hi Pretties

I have another empty product review!  I seem to be finishing EVERYTHING off at the moment.  I have two more reviews to go up soon...

Today I'm reviewing the Covergirl Lash Perfection Mascara in Very Black.  This comes in a 7.2ml size and I got it on special for around $11.  I think it is normally around $16.

The think I like most about this mascara is that is has a rubber brush as opposed to a fibre brush.  This means less clumps!  This mascara goes on smoothly and quite even.  While it does not lengthen and volumise very well, it is a great work or day time mascara.  It frames the eyes nicely and is quite black.

The formulation of this mascara is quite dry which is also something I like, but I think it may have been a little two dry.  I'm throwing this out as I've had it for 8 weeks now, but I feel like the formula is already drying out as I surely can't be done with the tube yet.

The packaging of this mascara is quite nice and 'classy'.  It is very clean looking as well and doesn't get any sort of mess around the cap.  I severely dislike bright coloured packaging on my mascaras or anything bulky as I like my collection to look as sleek as possible.

Would I buy this again?  Yes I would, on sale.  I have a ton of mascaras to use up that I have gotten as freebies so I may get back to this one again, but not for now.

xoxo Caitlin

Empty Product Review - Face of Australia Cleansing Wipes

Hi Pretties

Another empty product here for you!

This time I have finished off a pack of Face Of Australia Purifying Cleansing Wipes.

These are alcohol free and have 25 wipes in the packet.

I got these on special at Big W when they had a $3 off sale so they were only $1.50 or so.  I'm glad.  I would not be impressed if I paid full price for these.

I think they are scratchy, not really moist enough and don't remove heavy eye make up.  I don't hate these, but I won't buy them again unless they are really on special.

Empty Product Review - Target Cosmetic Pads

Hey Hey Hey

It's time for an empty product review!  I've finished off yet another bag of cosmetic pads from Target.  These are $2.50 and come with 80 pads.

The blurb says they are 'for all your cosmetic needs.  Ideal for make-up removal and the application of cleansers and lotions.  Perfect for lint free nail polish removal.  Multi use, strong quilted for clear, fresher skin'.  I agree.

Now I love a bargain, but I also love quality and I have tried nearly every cosmetic pad on the market from $1 to $4 a bag.  I used to only use the Swispers pads as I thought the rest were really crappy until Target came out with these.  I feel these are Swispers quality for much less of a cost.

I use these to remove my heavy eye make-up when just a make-up remover wipe won't cut it and to tone every day.  One of these packs will last me 3-4 weeks.

An item I will repurchase time and time again!

What's in my make up travel case?

Hi Pretties

Happy Friday!  Welcome to the weekend  everyone.

As some of you know I just got back from four days in Melbourne and before I left I was faced with the dilemma of what to pack in my make up bag!  Clearly I couldn't take everything (although I wish I could!) so I had to pick out the most versatile products I have to take on a holiday.

It's ok though, I bought the stuff I left behind some presents when I got back.

When packing for a holiday you want to semi plan your outfits in advance and take your make up to suit.  You also need to keep in mind any restrictions the airline may have on carrying liquids and if your product is too big, depot some into a smaller pot.

So....What's in my travel bag?

Sample products are fantastic for travel, I took away my sample of Loreal primer, one foundation and one powder.  Unless you wear different foundation from day to night, leave the rest behind.

Take a sample eye primer if you have one, and palettes are great for travel.  I took my naked palette so I could create many looks without taking up too much space.

Limit your blush to one or two.  I took a pink and a coral to ensure I had something for every look I wanted.  I skipped taking a bronzer as I don't use it regularly anyway.

Travel brush sets are great if you can find one you like.  I didn't take the one pictured, but if I had it before I left I would have.  This is from Furless Cosmetics.

For your other eye products, take one mascara and I suggest a mechanical eye pencil.  This is much more versatile as you can use it on your lower lash line, water line, tight line and upper lash line.  Much more useful than a liquid liner for travel.  I also took a white eyeliner and a white crayon for my inner corner.  Take a natural pair of lashes that can be worn for day or night.

Try to limit your lipsticks.  This one is the hardest rule for me to follow!  I took a lip balm as these are definitely needed on the aeroplane, 3 lipsticks and a clear gloss.  I chose three different shades of pink to take, as this is what I use most regularly and suit all my looks.

What's in your travel make up case?

My Inglot Experience

Hi Pretties

On my recent trip to Melbourne I decided I wanted to buy a matte Inglot palette.  As matte shadows are hard to come by in a palette I thought the Inglot Freedom System was a great idea to do this.  I bought the 10 pan palette for $15 as I thought the larger ones were a little on the heavy side for travelling and 5 shadows at $10 each to start myself off.  I caved, and one is not matte.  But super pretty!

At Inglot you can get your make up done for $70 and it is redeemable on product, so I pretty much got my make up done for free.  By the way the closest Inglot to me is a 2hr drive away, which is why I was so excited about it.

I made my appointment for 11am so I could look glamorous spending the day shopping and I got their early and the MUA got started straight away.  She was lovely.  Unfortunately I can't remember her name but I'm sure it starts with a C, and she worked at Inglot Chadstone.  I wanted to go with a pretty neutral look as I was just spending the day shopping then going out for a casual dinner, so we kept my make up pretty basic, with a nice bronze/gold eye.  With fake eyelashes.  As I am currently obsessed lol.  The blush was just a nice neutral pink and unfortunately as I took this photo about 8 hours later, I've topped up my lipstick with Mac Lovelorn.  The Inglot colour was very similar though.

I love the lashes!  They were so huge but so pretty :)  I managed to keep the box so I can re-use them as well.

Onto the palette!

As I said I bought the 10 pan palette and filled it with 5 shadows.  So the total cost so far was $65.  I left 5 spaces free as I know when I go to Sydney I'll go to Inglot and get annoyed I have no space, and having just got my Naked Palette I'm currently occupied playing with that.

I think the magnetic design of this is quite ingenious as well.  It's something that keeps it a little different from the other palettes around.

The MUA helped me pick colours to suit my skin tone so I really got a customised palette.

Matte 355 - A highlight

Matte 357 - Crease or lid

Matte 326 - Crease and eyeliner

Pearl 423 - So pretty!

Matte 334 - Lid or crease

Now I know the pearl one is not a matte shade, but it was too pretty for me to pass up!

The whole trip cost me $90 odd dollars as I got the eyelashes on top of the make over, and that also had a $10 application fee.  But I think it was well worth it.  I got the MUA's attention for an hour, my make up done, started off my palette and got some great eyelashes I'll be able to reuse.

Inglot trip was a sucess!

What do you think of the Freedom system?

May Lust Have It - Open Box

Hi Pretties

I was very excited when I got home from Melbourne last night to find a parcel delivery slip in my front door.  My very first Lust Have It was sitting at the post office waiting for me.  Oh how I wish it had been sitting at the door!  I jumped out of bed this morning to race down to the post office to collect it so it was not lonely any more.

My Lust Have It came in this adorable pick make up case.  While it is very my colour (I love hot pink!) I don't particularly find bags this size useful.  Too small for weekend make up and too big for my handbag.  I'm sure I will find a use for it though :)

Now I have to say, I'm VERY impressed with my May Lust Have It.  As this is my first box I'm not sure if they are always this awesome, or if they were making it extra special due to the merging of Lust Have It and Glossybox, but I hope they stay this great.

Contents;

With Love on Mothers Day card (Not pictured) - The first item I pulled out of my bag was a little mothers day card with a poem inside called Yester Year.  I think this is lovely and a nice little extra.  I'm sure the mothers out there who subscribe would love that.

Lush Soap 'Lust' - There was no mistaking the distinct Lush aroma when I unzipped my bag.  I love Lush products and this soap smells divine.  I'm guessing it's about 50g.

Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty perfume sample - Oh how I love perfume samples.  My boyfriend and I both use Calvin Klein perfume so this will be a nice one to try.

Bioderma Crealine H2O Make Up Remover - When I pulled this little bottle out of the bag I had no idea what it was.  Mainly because I can't read French!  The product card told me it is a make up remover which is nice, and it is a 20ml sample.

Nicole by OPI nail polish - I love nail polish.  This is a pretty purple sparkly colour (sorry I can't find a  name on it) and is a 3.75ml sample.  Lust Have It have definitely nailed it with on trend products!

Caron Bump Eraser Medi Paste - I received a full size (50ml) tube of the medi paste.  I'm looking forward to using this as I use the Caron Bump Eraser lotion which I love, and have also tried the spray which I think was so so.  Will be good to try more of this range and they last forever as you only need a tiny amount.

Evo The Therapist Calming Shampoo and Conditioner - Another very generous sample.  These are 50ml each!  I'm slightly addicted to shampoo and conditioner and these look great.  They are the perfect travel size as well.  The smell of the conditioner reminds me of those milk shake lollies you can get.

Model Co Lipgloss - Last item I received is another full sized product.  I got the colour Show Girl Red lipgloss by Model Co.  This is a very pretty colour and I quite like Model Co lip products.

So well done Lust Have It.  I think this is a fantastic box!  Bellabox you have some competition....

Stay tuned for my review of the products in a few week!

You can sign up to Lust Have It here.

What did you get in your Lust Have It?

Melbourne Blog - Home!

Hi my pretties

Just an update I'm home from Melbourne!  I got back last night and after unpacking went straight to bed.  I had a great time the 4 days I was down there and did lots of fun stuff.  And got some great blogging ideas!

On the trip my partner and I went shopping (of course), went to the zoo, ate loads of food, played pool, got cultured at the museum and rode the tram.  We also played Spot-o-crazy-hook-turn.  Those things are weird.  And look quite dangerous :-/

I also got my make up done at Inglot.  I wanted to make a palette and with redeemable products I basically got my make up done for free; More about that later!

So we are back home, I have a tonne of washing to do but I don't go back to work until Monday (yea!).  Stay tuned for many blog posts being fired your way!

xoxo Caitlin

Melbourne blog day 1

Hi lovelies

Today was my first day in Melbourne!

My partner and I arrived of the plane at 7:30 this morning and made out way to our hotel to drop our bags off and headed to the Queen Victoria Markets.

I bought two things at the markets.  These really cute red finger less gloves for $10 and a purple silicone watch.

I was actually looking for a white watch but didn't find one I liked so I got this petty purple faced purple silicon band one for $20.

In the afternoon we wondered around the shops and I found the biggest priceline I've ever seen!  I got pretty excited looking around David Jones and Myer at all the counters we don't have in Newcastle.  We are so underprivileged with our counters at home :(  No beauty purchases today though.

For dinner we wondered towards China Town for dinner but found a nice little Thai place on the way for dinner.

Off to the zoo tomorrow.

What did you get up to this weekend?

Update: Melbourne!

Hi my pretties

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Guess what? I'm in Melbourne for 4 days! Yea!

I shall still be blogging, but my posts will be more travel blogs rather than beauty, and a little limited as I only bought my tablet and iPhone, not my laptop. So photos will be a little crappy I'm afraid!

Today I'm going to the Queen Victoria Markets and tomorrow the Zoo! On Tuesday I'm going to Chadstone and to Inglot to get my make up done and then the museum on Wednesday before I go home on Wednesday night.

Enjoy your Sunday pretties and I shall blog to you soon!

FOTD - Casual day

Happy Friday lovelies

Today I though I would do a face of the day/tutorial using my new UD Naked Palette.  Yup, I'm really slow to jump on the Naked Palette bandwagon, but I'm so glad I finally did.  I LOVE my Naked Palette.

How to:

1. Apply foundation - I use Loreal Matte Morphose in 115

2. Dust powder to set.  I use Mac Mineralise Skinfinish Natural

3. Apply blush - I used Mac Melba applied with my Manicare Artiste no17 Stippling brush

4. Fill in eyebrows - I used Rimmel Eyebrown Pencil in dark brown.  I got my eyebrows tinted yesterday so this is a new colour for me.
5. Prime eyes - I used UD Primer Potion

6. Apply shadow to CREASE - I used Darkhorse which is the 8th colour from the left (I took the same colour as a bottom lash eyeliner.)

7. Apply shadow to LID - I used Half Baked with is the 6th colour from the left

8. Blend out colours

9. Apply highlight - I used Virgin which is the 1st colour

10. Apply eyeliner - Today I used Maybelline Master Precise on the top lash line

11. Line waterline - I used ChiChi eyeliner in Virgin

12. Mascara! - Loreal Extra Volume Collagene

13. Lipstick - Today I wore Rimmel Pink Blush

Eyes Closed
That's my face of the day :)

My blog has a Facebook page!

Hi Pretties

I have some big news.... My blog has a Facebook page!

Follow me here :)

The main reason for this is I am having a hard time keeping track of all the beauty companies and competitions I 'like' on my personal Facebook, so I decided to separate them out :)

My Facebook page will contain links to my blog posts and also other bits and pieces on the go :)

Blush and Bronzer Collection

Hi Pretties As I said in my make up storage post I'll be gradually showing you my collection in more detail.  You can view my nail polish collection here!  I've been waiting on one last product to come so I could show you my FAVOURITE collection.  My blush collection!  I'm not hugely into bronzer, but I've thrown those in this post too.

Now that's the full collection!  There is a mix of cheaper and higher end products there and I have to say my favourites are not necessarily the most expensive ones!

Bronzers

As I said, I'm not overly into bronzer, and some of these I have had for YEARS, but I'll still reach for them in summer.

Face Of Australia - Outback Bronze
Benefit - Hoola
Covergirl - 315 Soleil
Designer Brands - No name

Mac Blushes

Top row
Melba (Matte)
Fleur Power (Satin)

Bottom Row

Well Dressed (Satin)

Miscellaneous Brands

That's my collection.  My favourites are Mac Melba, Mac Springsheen, Benefit Thrrrob (even though I've only used it once!) and Models Prefer Desk To Date.  I absolutely love Models Prefer I think they are a brilliant brand.  Hmm, maybe I'll need to do a Models Prefer review.

If you would like to see any of these blushes with swatches and in details please leave me a comment and let me know :)

April Favourites

Happy May my pretties!

The fifth month is upon us (wow this year is flying by) and it is time for April favourites.

Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask

This product has one of the longest names I've ever seen!  It is a nice gentle mud mask that is in fact ultra cleansing.  I've been enjoying using this every third day or so this month.

Manicare Artiste Stippling Brush no17

Although I've been using this every day since I bought it, I've really enjoying the application I get with this brush.

I don't use if for foundation, but for blush!  It give the perfect amount of colour and doesn't give me that clown look.  Ever.

I've also washed this loads of time and it's still in great condition.  A wonderful brush for the price.

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie

What would April favourites be without a lip butter!  My favourite colour this month has been Berry Smoothie.  It's the perfect Autumn colour.

I now have 5 of the lip butters.  Eeek!

Mac Blush in Springsheen

My favourite blush this month has been Springsheen.  I would have loved to have picked Melba but I have only been using it for a week.  I've used Springsheen nearly every other day this month though.

It's a pretty shimmery coral colour.

Essence Gel eyeliner in Midnight in Paris

My last favourite for the month is this gel eyeliner.  I've had a great time the past few weeks playing around with different types of eyeliners and this is my new favourite.  I was always a crayon girl but now I'm loving the gel.  So easy to apply and this Essence liner is so black and it was so cheap!

What are your April favourites?

Review - Loreal Luminosity Youth Code

I received a bottle of this to trial.

The silver packaging was pretty and made it look quite expensive. The bottle itself is also a nice silver colour with a great quality pump on it that seems to disperse just the right amount of the serum. I think the bottle is a little too heavy though as you wouldn't want to try and travel with it being that heavy.

The product itself is a pearl lotion with a nice scent. For me it didn't do a whole lot except make my face super smooth.

It is supposed to deeply hydrate, reduce sun spots, illuminate and even out complexion. I found that it seemed to be a little too light to just be a moisturiser, and a little too heavy WITH a moisturiser. I don't really have sun spots yet, but it did nothing for my redness. I actually think it made my skin redder after applying. I'll agree that it made my skin firmer and more illuminated, but the illuminating-ness didn't work very well with my matte foundation. That wouldn't be a problem for people who don't use matte foundation though. I'll stick to using it just at night I think.

Overall I don't mind this product but I won't re-purchase after I finish it up.
