I thought that I should do a review of the Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons since I have just given away a set. These are a new product to Face of Australia. A little bonus, they are against animal testing.
When you purchase these they come in a set of 3 for $14.95 which is not a bad price. While these are marketed at being a sheer gloss I actually think the red and nude have quite a good colour payoff while the pink is quite sheer.
They have a wind up mechanism at the bottom and a clear cap on the top. My one real dislike with these is that the lid does not have any type of locking system to it and just really sits on there. I'm a bit scared of just throwing it in my bag and when I pull it out it will be all broken and there will be lip crayon all through my bag!
Macaron: The red shade is quite cool tone and I find this to be the most pigmented. This is my favourite in the set and I think it is the perfect red lip when you are too scared to wear that big bold red lip.
Cupcake: Is a quite sheer. I hink this is the sheerest of the three. Again this is quite blue toned and also the most moisturising. I don't think this is an overly exciting shade on me, but on someone with less pigmented lips it might have some more colour.
Sundae: The 'nude' of the bunch. I actually find this colour to be more of a pink than a nude but still quite pretty. It is also pretty moisturising which is a bonus.
All in all I think these are pretty good for the money. Check out my lip swatches below!

Really like Macaron! x
ReplyDeleteYou have gorgeous lips! (Sorry if that's a weird observation. Or creepy.)
ReplyDeleteAw thanks :)
DeleteI like Macaron the best too! I also agree with Alice, you have great lips! :)
ReplyDeletePS-They're such great value for money, aren't they?
They are great.
DeleteLooks lovely! I'm really considering buying these, but maybe not for my handbag :P

I'd probably put them in a side pocket or something :)
DeleteI own these and I find them very moisturising! I just wish they had more colour pay off. I hate the smell though... perfumey smells on lips products make me want to hurl! If only they smelt as yummy as they are named :(
